Privacy statement
What we record about you through this website, why, and what you can change about it. As short as it can be. This is an English summary for convenience: the Dutch version at datadriftdigital.nl/privacy/ is the only valid text, and where the two differ, the Dutch one applies.
Version of 2 August 2026
1. Who we are
DataDrift Digital VOF, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 98884794, VAT number NL868686426B01. We are the controller for the data described below.
Questions about your data go to admin@datadriftdigital.nl. We respond within a month, usually within a few days.
2. What data we process
This website has two forms. The free AI check asks for your company name, town and sector, and your email address only if you want to receive the report; we keep that address and your result in our customer system (CRM). Of your IP address we keep only a hashed version, to limit the number of checks per day. The webinar sign-up asks for your first name and email address, which we keep in our customer system for the webinar and its follow-up. In the webinar room we record how long you watch, and a question you ask is kept with your first name and email address so we can answer you personally. Anyone else who gets in touch emails or calls us directly. The Dutch version lists every moment at which we record anything about you.
If you email or call us
Your name, email address, phone number and whatever you write to us. That data sits in our mailbox and our phone system, and nowhere else. We use it to answer you. Legal basis: performance of an agreement, or your legitimate interest in receiving an answer.
If you visit this website
Our statistics run through Cloudflare Web Analytics and Google Analytics. Cloudflare sets no cookies. Google Analytics runs here with cookies and advertising signals switched off by default, so no cookie is placed there either and no profile is built. We see visitor numbers and which pages are read, not who you are. Google also processes this data in the United States. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how our site is used.
If you sign up on the blog or in the community
Those are separate environments on their own subdomains, with their own account. If you do not sign up there, we record nothing about you there. Legal basis: your consent, at the moment you create an account.
3. Cookies
This website places no tracking cookies. We use Google Analytics, but with cookies and advertising signals switched off by default: no cookie is placed, no advertising profile is built and no fingerprint of your device is made. What remains is an anonymised count of page visits. That is why you see no cookie banner here: there is nothing to refuse.
Our blog and our community run on their own subdomains and do use a cookie to keep you logged in if you have an account there. That is a functional cookie, not a tracker.
On the homepage and on the DataDrift Deltascan page our Google rating is shown as fixed text; nothing loads from Google for it. Only when you click "Read the reviews" does data load from Google: the reviews and the reviewers' profile photos. Google then receives your IP address. Before that click nothing happens with Google. We store none of this data.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data and we do not pass it on for advertising. We do engage suppliers that are necessary to run this site and our email: our hosting provider, our email provider and the two statistics services above, Cloudflare and Google, and Google again for the reviews, only after a click on "Read the reviews". We have agreements with those parties about how they handle your data.
Our own servers are in Germany and Finland. Where a supplier outside the EU can see data, that happens on the basis of the European Commission standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep it
Correspondence that does not lead to an assignment is kept for a maximum of two years. If you become a client, the statutory retention period of seven years applies to the administration. Statistics about this site cannot be traced back to you and therefore have no personal retention period.
6. Your rights
You have the rights below. One email to admin@datadriftdigital.nl is enough; we ask for no form and no identification unless we genuinely cannot establish that it is you.
- Access. You may request which data we hold about you.
- Correction. If something is wrong, we will change it.
- Erasure. You may ask us to delete your data.
- Objection. You may object to a processing operation.
- Portability. You may receive your data in a readable file.
If we cannot resolve it together, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
7. What this statement covers
This statement describes this website. If you become a client, we process more: meeting notes, data in your system, and whatever the assignment requires. We make separate arrangements about that before we start, including a data processing agreement where one is needed.
We amend this statement if something changes about what we do. The date at the top is the last change.
